Wild River Comics is a brand-new London-based comic book studio borne out of our passion for the beautiful, intricate, expressive medium of comic book storytelling.

Based in the heart of creative Shoreditch, we’re on a mission to tell intriguing stories that ask important questions, introduce the world to our exciting and complex characters, and show off the skill and talent of our talented team of writers and artists.

MEET THE TEAM

Trevor

Trevor

Co-Creator and Director of Sales & Marketing

Trevor is a huge fan of comics (duh...), particular faves include Mike Carey's Lucifer series and Preacher (Garth Ennis).

He loves high concept sci-fi books; he really enjoyed the Planetfall series by Emma Newman and is currently working his way through Iain M. Banks' Culture series.

He's obsessed with peregrine falcons, wanted to be a zookeeper as a kid and if you put a gun to his head, he could probably eat his own bodyweight in gyoza.

Denis

Denis

Co-Creator and Head of Studio

At the age of 11, Denis drew pictures of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, photocopied them, and sold the photocopies to his school friends for £1 each.
30 years and 20 jobs later, he realised it never got better than that and decided to go back to his first love.

He has 2 stomachs, one for normal food and one for Dim Sum. He doesn’t like sweets, but discovering new crisp flavours is his favourite part of going abroad.
He has a very rational fear of bananas because they’re spider submarines.

Beth

Beth

Social Media and Content Manager

Beth is our social media manager. Her role mainly consists of banning trolls and boosting the company's ego on social media! When she's not online, you will probably find her crying in a corner after another failed hair experiment or looking for the best Italian espresso in London.

Beanie

Beanie

Staff Writer

Beanie is WRC writer. When she's not busy typing/scribbling frantically/bleeding biro ink, you can find her chilling with her Dragon collection (yep you read that right), hiding behind her hands watching horror, or stumbling her way through gothic castles looking for Dracula.

Matt

Matt

Lead Artist

Matt Timson is an illustrator and comic book artist. He’s been drawing comics since 2008, when he was effectively paid to learn on the job.

He really likes experimenting with digital brushes and doodling random heads more than actual work - but nobody will pay him to do that.
If anybody asks, he’s 38.
